CLEVELAND, Ohio - Adult-use cannabis sales are slated to start in Ohio as soon as Tuesday, according to a notice sent from the Division of Cannabis Control.
A notice of intent to issue a certificate of operation hit the inbox of Beckett Salchak, manager of Ohio Cannabis Company in Canton Friday morning. At around 11 a.m., Salchak was notified of a temporary authorization to operate beginning August 6 with a dual-use dispensary license.According to 19 News’s previous coverage, medical dispensaries will be the first to receive approval for adult sale.James Crawford of the Ohio Department of Commerce said that no dispensary has received its dual-use certificate needed to sell non-medical cannabis.
