We revisit the closing ceremony of London 2012 and how the city waved off the Olympics.

For three weeks in the summer of 2012, the eyes of the world were on London as the city hosted the Olympic Games.

After an opening ceremony that was viewed by millions around the world, it would be hard to top it with the closing ceremony. Named "A Symphony of British Music" the closing ceremony was celebrated for its homage to Britain's musical heritage, with nods to the likes of Freddie Mercury and John Lennon and live performances from Annie Lennox, George Michael and the Spice Girls, who were taken around the Olympic Stadium on the top of five black cabs.More housing, 'free chocolate' and issues around homelessness were the top priorities when the residents of Croydon were given the keys to Number 10.
