After his first stop in Perth, the global humanitarian met his followers in Melbourne, and will be hosting another lecture on mediation and spiritual growth in Sydney on Sunday night.
One of the world's most prominent spiritual leaders along with Pope Francis and Dalai Lama, Gurudev has hundreds of millions of followers worldwide, including a devoted community in Australia. In 1981, he founded the Arts of Living Organisation, which is now available in over 180 countries, serving around 500 million people.
"Whatever that good message he gives me, I'll spread that message on behalf of him, to the community. So that's why I am very excited to meet him."Some critics of his have questioned his commercialisation of the breathing techniques, as well as his extensive daily engagement with people on social media platforms.
