Prescot Cables secured promotion for the first time since 2008/09
Prescot Cables achieved promotion to the Pitching In Northern Premier League for the first time since 2008/09.
Lee Fisher, Club Director of Prescot Cables, has spoken on the amazing support the club have received throughout the season and the importance of the community volunteers. Following a ninth-place finish last season, despite the excitement and positive energy surrounding the club, many had their doubts on the Cables’ chances of promotion.
“It’s a bit of a microcosm isn’t it, slightly outside of the city – it’s the only semi-professional club in Knowsley. I think it’s just having that sort of slightly separate identity from Liverpool and from the other non-league sides in Merseyside," he said.
