The Oscars - also known as the 96th Academy Awards - will see a whole host of stars grace the red carpet hoping to take home a coveted gong. Hosting the awards this year is comedian Jimmy Kimmel while in the UK, Jonathan Ross will be giving viewers a run down on the latest news from the red carpet.
As excitement builds for the awards ceremony, we have everything you need to know about all of the nominees and how to watch for free in the UK. Those based in the UK will be able to tune into the star-studded event for free - so long as they have a TV licence. Preceding the Oscars, viewers will be able to get swept up in all of the Hollywood glamour with the official stream of the Oscars red carpet live show on ITVX exclusively for the UK from 9pm, with Ross King broadcasting directly from the event.
