An officer at 2 a.m. on May 2 stopped a vehicle on I-90 at Columbia Road for equipment and moving violations and learned that the driver appeared to be impaired. The female driver said that she did not have her license with her.

As the officer looked into the identity a bit further, he soon discovered the driver was a 31-year-old from Lorain without any warrants but also without a valid license. The passenger also provided the officer with a fake identity. Two victims on May 1 reported catalytic converter thefts from vehicles parked in the lot of UH St. John Medical Center. During daylight hours, the catalytic converters were sawed off a Honda CRV and a Mitsubishi Outlander. Investigators are collecting video of the scene.The Medina Township Police Department at 10 a.m. on April 26 called the Westlake Police Department to request their help in arresting a man wanted for felony theft.
