Shaker Heights police are seeking a man who allegedly struck his wife, then refused to allow her to leave their home.
A woman's home security camera captured a young male ride up during the night to her parked car, ride away, then return on foot to steal the car.At 2 p.m. May 6, officers responded to a report of a dog bite in the 2000 block of Rochester Road.
A Shaker Heights woman, 29, reported that her home security cameras showed a young male ride his bike up her driveway and to look closely at the vehicle. The suspect then rode away, but soon came back without the bike, entered the car, and drove away.At 8 p.m. May 4, a 45-year-old woman who lives in the 3000 block of Stockholm Road reported that an unknown suspect had threatened on Snap Chat to harm her 13-year-old daughter.At 11:30 a.m.
It was then learned that the car’s passenger, a Bratenahl man, 33, was wanted by Cleveland Heights police for domestic violence. Officers confirmed the warrant, arrested the man, and surrendered him to Cleveland Heights police officers.At 11:35 p.m. May 6, officers on patrol in the area of Warrensville Center and South Woodland roads observed a Nissan vehicle traveling without taillights.
The man left prior to officers’ arrival. Police are seeking charges against the man for domestic violence and will obtain a protection order for his wife.At 9:50 p.m. May 7, police learned from an automated license plate reader that the 30-year-old owner of a Chrysler vehicle being driven in the area of Chagrin Boulevard and Lynnfield Road, a Lakewood woman, was wanted by Mentor police on felony theft charges.
