It is understood that police remain at the scene on Friday morning, carrying out enquiries, after a 39-year-old man was seriously assaulted in the early hours.
A residential area in Paisley has reportedly been 'taped off' by police after a man was attacked overnight.
A 39-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. The nature of his condition remains unknown. An eyewitness told Glasgow Live: "Police have cordoned off one of the closes and are standing at the door."
