The Paisley-born singer-songwriter surprised students and their at the West College Scotland event when he was awarded a prestigious honour for his work with the art and design department.
Scottish music legend Paolo Nutini has receieved a prestigious fellowship from West College Scotland during its Paisley graduation ceremony
The educational institution not only acknowledges individuals who have excelled in their chosen field, but those who have have also made an exceptional contribution to the local communities it serves, the college and its students. The singer-songwriter, and his family, have worked closely with West College’s Paisley art and design department, led by Billy Kinnear, for over 10 years, providing students with the opportunity to work on real live-client briefs.
Students receiving their own graduation certificates were offered advice from the singer. He stated that people need to quell and quieten the voices of self-doubt, explaining that when he had done so, he had gone on to achieve what he had previously thought impossible and as a result, had had some of the greatest experiences of his life.
