The Greek island of Antikythera is offering money and free property to families who move there, in a bid to boost its modest population.
Five ferries a week leave Antikythera from the port of Potamós Sparkling turquoise ocean, whitewashed buildings and vibrant history stretching back to the Bronze Age… the Greek island of Antikythera is the stuff of dreams. But for some it could be a reality. The remote island between Crete and Peloponnese in the Aegean Sea is offering major incentives to anyone willing to move there, including accommodation, food and a regular allowance.

Greek property firm Elxis reported in February that since the homes offered as part of the scheme haven’t yet been built, applications – which will be followed by interviews – aren’t yet open.
