'He was 17-years-old and had his life ahead of him'
The parents of a teenager who died in a tragic canoe incident in Bolton have said they will "never come to terms with what has happened" following the death of their "beautiful and gentle" son.
"He was 17-years-old and had his life ahead of him; we will never come to terms with what has happened or the fact that our beautiful Joe has lost his future life and happiness. He filled our whole world, all our thoughts, hopes, dreams and plans now and for the future. Coun Taylor-Burke wrote: "On Tuesday 9th April Suzanna and Andy's beautiful boy Joe 17 years old, was taken from them in such tragic circumstances. This is heartbreaking for them and for our community as a whole.
