New parking rules could affect families dropping off or picking up the kids as well as those who are late back to the car
Parents who are late back to their car after they’ve been shopping, dropped off the kids or had to deal with a meltdown right as the parking ticket runs out will now have a grace period when it comes to parking. From October this year, anyone who overstays their welcome in a private car park won’t be penalised or fined during the first 10 minutes – giving many parents across the UK more leeway when it comes to dealing with tantrums that come *just* before you’re due back at the car.
