For academic year 2022–2023, the Pasig City local government welcomed 545 sports scholars and 1,700 CHIP-In beneficiaries under the Pasig City Scholarship Program (PCSP).
The Pasig City local government welcomed a new batch of students, consisting of 545 sports scholars and 1,700 beneficiaries of the Continuing High School Program Incentive , under the Pasig City Scholarship Program for academic year 2022 to 2023.
One of the PSCP’s main qualifications for eligibility is high grades and merits for the applicants. However, the local government acknowledges the financial needs of students who do not meet the grade criteria. Through the CHIP-In, beneficiaries will receive a monthly allowance worth P500, which will be given per semester, twice a year.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said the local government is aiming to further increase the number of scholars in the city. Currently, the PCSP has a total of 23,000 scholars.
