The former Man United midfielder will once again lace his boots in the club's latest charity match for the Manchester United Foundation
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes will be making his Old Trafford return in September for the club's Legends match against Celtic.
Both Scholes and Butt were part of the United '99 Legends team that played against Bayern Munich's Legends team to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their treble-completing Champions League final win over the Bundesliga side in 1999 back in 2019 which was also raising money for the Manchester United Foundation.
The Red Devils XI will face off against a Celtic XI managed by Paul Lambert at Old Trafford on Saturday 7 September, with more names to be announced in the run-up to the event. Despite that, many stars that have played for both clubs have chosen them for their testimonial match, including Roy Keane and Bryan McClair while Ryan Giggs and Robson chose them without any direct affiliation to the club.
