More than 200 indigents in Brgy. Banban, Bogo City, Cebu have benefited from the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor’s (PCUP) “Yolanda Permanent Housing Program” the Commission said on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

The final turn-over of the housing units was held on Feb. 11 with a total of 288 beneficiaries, said PCUP. Meanwhile, the project had a total of 750 beneficiaries but due to the pandemic, the turn-over was conducted by batches. “The first batch was on Dec. 6, 2021, with 198 beneficiaries; the second batch was on Jan. 14, 2022, with 264 beneficiaries, and the third and final batch [was held on Feb. 11] with 288 beneficiaries,” said PCUP in a Facebook post.

PCUP chairperson and Chief Executive Officer Alvin S. Feliciano said that the Commission will “continuously work and coordinate” with other government agencies to promote the welfare and interest of the urban poor communities.
