He adored his family and he shared a close and special bond with those closest to him, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and wherever he went he would be accompanied by his loyal companion dogs and over they years he has given a loving home to many dogs. Beloved husband of Joan of 70 years, a loving father of Pamela and David, dear father-in-law to Malcolm and Ruth, devoted grandfather of Paul and Hannah and loving brother of Peter and sister-in-law Sandra.A prominent Freemason and Rotarian holding many offices.The funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 1.30pm at St Augustine’s Church, Huncoat followed by cremation at 2.20pm at Accrington Crematorium.
Also, in her younger years she played netball and hockey for Lancashire and was also an avid badminton player, of which she still remains unbeaten in her family.She loved spending time with her family, as well as Bella her cat. After several years, he then studied hard to attain his teaching certificate, where he taught both Engineering and English at various schools in Salford and across Lancashire before taking his retirement.
