Hay fever sufferers won’t be getting any respite from its effects as the Met Office predicts the pollen count will be ‘very high’ in most ofThe hay fever section of the NHS website was visited 122,650 times last week, and Sunday was the busiest day with almost 28,000 visits – equivalent to one visit every three seconds.Hay fever is usually at its worst between March and September, when the pollen count is at its highest and the weather is warm, windy and humid.

Hay fever affects almost 10 million people in England, which equates to almost one in four adults and 1 in 10 children.
