People on PIP moving to ADP may see weekly payments change after DWP transfer

Nearly 173,000 people on PIP are due to move to ADP before the end of next year.

More than 154,000 people in Scotland have already seen their award for Personal Independence Payment successfully transferred from the Department for Work and Pensions to Adult Disability Payment . Some 172,954 claimants still on PIP will move to the Social Security Scotland system before the end of next year.

The letter from Social Security Scotland explains: “We have made your Adult Disability Payment award based on information we got from DWP about your most recent PIP award. The letter states: “If anything changes then your award might need to be adjusted up or down. You might be entitled to a higher award, or you might be getting award payments that are too high.”

If you want your award to be looked at again you must request it within 42 days of receiving the letter - this includes weekends and bank holidays.
