A biscuit giant has cleared up the pronunciation of its Nice biscuits once and for all
Arnott's, the Australian company behind the beloved Nice biscuits, has finally settled the long-standing debate over the correct way to pronounce their name. Many of us in Britain have likely enjoyed these sweet treats, possibly dunking them into our tea, but the question remains: have we been saying the name right?
An Arnott's spokesperson resolved the mystery, replying: "Hi Bruno, thank you for your query. Nice biscuits were named after the city in the South of France and pronounced the same as that city. They have been part of the Arnott's range since 1922." One internet user expressed their delight at the revelation, responding: "I'm so happy to finally know the answer to this. Never too old to learn something new! Yet not everyone was taken aback by the news. Someone else commented: " However, not everyone was surprised by the news. Another individual commented: "I thought everyone knew that."
