Rodri will be out for 'a while' with injury, Pep Guardiola has confirmed. But the Manchester City manager stopped short of confirming his midfielder has been ruled out for the season.
Rodri was substituted against Arsenal after appearing to twist his knee, limping off and looking upset as he headed down the tunnel. He has been spotted in Barcelona for tests, with City's trusted Dr Cugat often used to ascertain the extent of serious knee injuries. Some reports on Monday suggested Rodri will be ruled out for the whole season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but that has not been confirmed and Guardiola said tests are still ongoing to determine exactly how long Rodri will be absent.

Rodri joins Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake on the injury list, while Kevin De Bruyne was also missing vs Watford with the issue that forced him off against Inter Milan last week. Guardiola previously hinted that De Bruyne could potentially return against Newcastle this weekend.
