The Perth Zoo community is mourning one of its beloved giraffes, Armani, who died on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, aged 20.Perth Zoo said the gentle giant spent his final years grazing on trees and enjoying treats, particularly carrots, many of which were handed to him by zoo patrons. "I was fortunate enough to work with him in the last 18 years and was here setting up his quarantine on arrival day," senior keeper Kaelene McKay said."We all understand unfortunately, within our job it's the circle of life."
