The Philippine government vowed Thursday to honor the conditions that will be set for the transfer of Mary Jane Veloso , the Filipino who has been in jail in Indonesia for 14 years following a drug conviction, to the country.The Philippines and Indonesia are still discussing the conditions of the transfer.
''The conditions for the transfer of Ms. Mary Jane Veloso are still being discussed with Indonesia,'' the agencies added. On Wednesday, President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. announced that the Philippine government has reached an agreement with Indonesian authorities to bring Veloso back to the country. This was later confirmed by Jakarta. Veloso was arrested at an airport in Yogyakarta in Indonesia in April 2010 for carrying 2.6 kilograms of heroin.
