The Belgian is taking the next steps in the process to become Ibrox manager, it is claimed.
Philippe Clement is due to arrive in Glasgow TONIGHT to discuss a deal to become Rangers' next manager, according to a report.
The Belgian was last with Monaco and has won titles in his homeland with Genk and Club Brugge. He is the clear favourite to replace Michael Beale, who was sacked following a 3-1 Premiership defeat to Aberdeen. Former player and Yokohama F. Marinos boss Kevin Muscat is also in the running, as is former Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner.
It's been claimed though that Clement - who has had interest from the middle-east - seriously impressed Rangers chiefs during the interview process. PLZ Soccer now state the 49-year-old "is expected to arrive in Glasgow tonight to discuss terms on a 4 year deal to become the next Rangers manager." Steven Davis has been in interim charge for matches with Aris Limassol and St Mirren , assisted by ex-player and coach Alex Rae.
