The business-like Belgian has a puzzle to sort out as Rangers head to Prague in midweek.
Philippe Clement guided Rangers into the Viaplay Cup Final on Sunday and then warned his players not to milk the moment until they’ve got the trophy in their hands.
“We need to continue like that and not go into a mode of satisfaction. That is the big danger now. The players can be satisfied this evening and happy and enjoy that time with their family but from tomorrow I expect everybody to be focused again towards Sparta Prague on Thursday night. That is football.
He said: “On Thursday we have a really big game. We still miss a couple of players, we also miss some players that I cannot select on Thursday because they are not on the European list, that I didn’t make in the beginning of the season. And he insisted his players deserve all the credit for the uptick in form which is turning their season around after a full blown crisis under Beale. He said: “First it’s not my cup final, it’s the club’s final and the players’. That’s an important thing - it’s not about individual satisfaction.
But Clement played his part in Sunday's win by replacing Todd Cantwell with Scott Wright at the half-time break. Wright scored one before winning the foul from which skipper James Tavernier smashed home a stunning third - shortly after opening the scoring from the penalty spot.
