Phillip Schofield was spotted having a blast on a night out with his former This Morning co-star Gyles Brandreth on Friday, 11 October. The 62-year-old presenter, who was let go from This Morning last year amidst a scandal involving an affair with a much younger colleague, seemed to be in high spirits.
Despite the controversy surrounding Cast Away, Phillip couldn't contain his laughter while dining at Charlie's restaurant in Brown's Hotel in Mayfair with Gyles, 76, and the former MP's wife Michele Brown. The trio reportedly spent several hours in the restaurant, with Phillip looking smart in a black jumper and shirt, while Gyles sported a dinner jacket and shirt.
One of the more memorable moments from his solo island reality show was the sight of Phillip running naked into the sea at the end of the final episode. Following criticism of the show, he shared a photo from that final moment to thank his fans and silence his critics, captioning it: "Thank you for your incredible support. I've been shown hundreds of lovely messages which are very important to me. I'm so proud of the shows.
During the three-part series, Phillip also surprised viewers when he turned to the camera and declared he was leaving television for good. He stated: "I. Don't. Want. To. Do. It. Any. More. I'll be slammed for this! 'Phillip Schofield in mad rant.' But the thing is, I don't care anymore. I don't care." He went on to say: "This is me having my say as I bow out.
