Brad Kella, winner of Channel 4's The Piano, has signed a recording contract with Liverpool-based label Modern Sky. He also announced his first hometown show at the Philharmonic Hall in November.
Brad Kella has said his dreams are coming true as he made a major announcement on BBC Breakfast. The 23-year-old, from Bootle, won the second series of Channel 4’s The Piano which was broadcast earlier this year.
Brad appeared on BBC Breakfast this morning where he was asked by host Sally Nugent how he can make music that generates such an emotional reaction. Brad said: “I don’t expect to make people cry, if they do it’s a good reaction. I think it’s because I've never learnt to read or write music. I play from my heart.
Brad also gave more details about how he appeared on The Piano, crediting a passerby who spotted him playing on a piano in Liverpool ONE. He said: “I was playing piano in Liverpool ONE, the public pianos. During the interview, Brad shared further praise for his foster parents, who he dedicated his performance in the finale to. He said: “They've done more than change my life. They've made me into the man I am today.
