The RMT said they received a 'significantly improved offer' and suspended planned industrial action which would have started on Friday evening. Tube drivers - represented by ASLEF - are still set to go on strike.
Planned strikes by London Underground workers in the RMT have been suspended, the union has announced. The strikes were originally set to take place from 1 to 16 November due to a dispute about pay and conditions. An RMT spokesperson said the union had suspended their strike action after 'intense negotiations with London Underground management and a significantly improved offer'.
'Further discussions will take place next week regarding the pay offer but progress has been made which would not have been possible without the fortitude and industrial strength of our 10,000 members on London Underground.' Planned strikes from ASLEF - the train drivers' union - are still set to go ahead. This breaking news story is being updated and more details will be published shortly.
