Will Scartho Top finally get the facilities it needs?
A village centre has been talked about for the rapidly growing village ever since its inclusion in the area’s masterplan. Now at last, Scartho residents have a proposal to support or object.
The new village centre is expected to cost around £1m to build. Its location means the new Scartho primary will use the same access road off Matthew Telford Park for it. It is noted in a planning document that the south and west of the site may be currently open farmland but there is planning permission for over 800 homes and there is the proposed school too. The around £1m expected construction costs will also be contracted to local firms.
