The Fife Arms in Braemar was rated the third-highest stay for hotels outside of London and the ninth-best overall location.
An Aberdeenshire hotel has been ranked one of the top places to stay in the United Kingdom by readers of Condé Nast Traveller.
The popular five-star establishment received an overall rating of 96.70 and was ranked alongside iconic luxury hotels, including the world-famous Ritz. The only Scottish to score higher than the Fife Arms was the Balmoral in Edinburgh, reports Aberdeen Live. Condé Nast Magazine published the rankings as part of their 2023 Readers' Choice Awards. The magazine, which targets upmarket and independent travellers, surveyed almost 500,000 readers to help finalise the list.Top news stories today The magazine wrote: "Spanning the widths and breadths of the UK, this year's picks, as voted by you, have seen you steadfast in your loyalty to iconic hotels in London, stunning country house spas and a flurry of new places to stay in Edinburgh.
