Police Brigadier General Romeo Caramat Jr. has been assigned as the new director of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said Monday.
“Director CIDG, Brigadier General Ronald Lee will be going up to Directorate for Intelligence as the deputy. So magpapalit po sila ni Brigadier General Romeo Caramat,” he said in a briefing.“The reason bakit merong ganoon is because, first is, ito kasing movement na ito matagal na kasi dapat.
Unfortunately nga, itong si General Caramat may mga inaasikaso pa siya na mga ibang mga personal na problema,” he said.“On the day that the order will be issued kay General Caramat, an unfortunate incident happened to the wife of General Caramat. Nevertheless, we asked him if he is ready to take the position. Sabi naman niya, 'Despite ‘yung nangyari nga sa misis ko, I am ready,'” Azurin said.
