Police have released an image of a man who they believe can assist the investigation
A woman has said she was left too scared to move after she was sexually assaulted on a bus. Nottinghamshire Police are investigating an incident that happened on a bus in the city centre.
The victim was sitting upstairs on the number 77 bus in Nottingham city centre when a man reportedly touched her repeatedly on her thigh over her clothing. It happened shortly after 6pm on February 7. Sergeant Liam Michie, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim recalls being too scared to move or say anything as the man kept stroking her thigh and mumbling words towards her before she got off the bus. Our inquiries are ongoing into this distressing incident which we are treating seriously.". Sgt added "We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured as we believe he may be able to assist us with our investigation.
"Similarly, we are also keen to speak to any other passengers who may have been on the bus at the time and witnessed this inappropriate behaviour. If you have any information that could help us, then please get in touch.” Anyone with any information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 687 of February 7, 2024.
