Police in Leeds ask residents for CCTV as huge cordon in place just days after man's brutal murder
A huge police cordon has been in place in Chapeltown this morning just days after a man was brutally stabbed to death.
It is not known at this time what nature of the incident is and LeedsLive has asked West Yorkshire Police for more information. The cordon was first reported as being in place by a witness at around 9am this morning. Officers have been seen at the cordon and are believed to be actively searching the area.
Residents in the area have said they don't know what has gone on this morning. One resident said: "We had the police knock on the door and ask if we knew anything or if we had CCTV that could help, but we don't." One officer told LeedsLive the cordon is "not a new incident" and is in relation to something that happened the other day.
