Police are investigating the suspected illegal release of two lynx in the Cairngorms National Park . The Highland Wildlife Park confirmed that the lynx are not escaped animals, but may have been abandoned. Specially trained staff from the park are assisting officers in tracing them. The Cairngorms National Park Authority stated that the lynx are shy and pose a low risk to humans, but they should not be approached. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
