Police said the trio fled in a car later found burnt out in Faifley following the shooting in Govan. The victim, a 52-year-old man, is described as being in a stable condition.

A 52-year-old man was rushed to hospital following the incident at a shop on Drumoyne Road around 4pm. Police described his condition as 'stable', and police are treating the incident as an attempted murder.

Detectives announced Wednesday that they are seeking a third man, also have believed to have fled Drumoyne Road in the car. Police said the men travelled onto the A739 to the Clyde Tunnel and out to Cochno Road, Clydebank, using the A82 Great Western Road and Glasgow Road. “The three men were seen shortly after 5pm, walking south on Faifley Road. I am appealing for anyone who was in this area between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Friday, 25 October, 2024 and saw three men acting suspiciously to contact us.

“Two of the men were wearing dark clothing and the third was wearing a lighter-blue tracksuit. The were all of medium build and had their hoods up.”Police appealed to Faifley residents for information, as well as CCTV and dashcam footage. Detective Sergeant Roberts added: “No matter how small it may seem, the information you hold could be key to our investigation.
