Police are investigating a reported rape on Meadow Street in Preston. They have released CCTV images of a man and are appealing for the public's help in identifying him.
An investigation has been launched after reports of rape and assault close to Preston city centre. Police were called shortly after midnight on Wednesday (8 January) to a report that a woman had been raped on Meadow Street. Police have released images of a man captured on CCTV on Meadow Street and asking for the public’s help in tracking him down. A spokesperson for police said: “An investigation is being conducted by a dedicated team of Detectives supported by specialist officers.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers. “As part of our enquiries, we are releasing these images of this man captured on CCTV on Meadow Street, Preston and we are asking for your help to try and find out where he is. “If you have any information about him or where he could be, please don’t approach him but get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.” Anyone with information should call police on 999 quoting log 0020 of January 8th, 2025.
