Multiple roads were cordoned off
Police issued an update following reports of an unconfirmed shooting. Merseyside Police were called to Balfour Road in Bootle at around 10.55pm on Tuesday, December 3. It followed a report of shots being fired near to Chestnut Grove. However, no damage has been found or injuries reported. In an update today, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said following an 'extensive search of the location' no evidence was found to confirm a shooting took place.
” Another woman told the ECHO residents had to sign in and out if they wanted to leave the cordon and were not allowed to move their cars. One resident, who lives inside the cordon, told the ECHO: “We heard it happened around midnight. The cordon has been extended since then, it was only half way up the street during the night.
