Nottinghamshire Police is investigating the incident after a video circulated on social media.

An internal investigation has been launched to assess the "use of force applied" by police to detain a man.

Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to a report of a crash involving four vehicles in Daleside Road, Colwick, shortly before 18:00 BST on Monday. The footage, which is about a minute and a half long, showed a few attempts made by officers to apprehend the man.Ch Supt Suk Verma, head of local policing, said: “First and foremost, we understand the concerns that have been raised by the public in relation to a video posted on social media.

“A full investigation will take place to look into the incident, which will include assessing the use of force applied and body-worn footage that was captured by officers at the scene.
