It followed a number of tip-offs

Police made a discovery in a 'back street' after receiving several calls from concerned Bury residents. PCSOs patrolling Manchester Road Park spotted two males 'acting suspiciously' yesterday .

As they approached, the pair fled the scene. The PCSOs searched the area where the two suspects had been before discovering 50 snap bags containing cannabis, which were underneath a pile of leaves. The bags were of various sizes and street value, Greater Manchester Police says. Moorside and Redvales PCSOs were patrolling the area after police made reports of 'several males seen drug dealing from a back street location on Manchester Road'.The last report had been made to GMP only a few days earlier. A GMP Bury spokesperson wrote on Facebook: "Upon patrolling the area, PCSOs encountered two males acting suspiciously.

"One was seen covering something with his foot before making off at speed. PCSOs searched the area near where he was standing and found the cause of his suspicious behaviour. "Fifty snap bags of cannabis, all various sizes and street value, were recovered from under a pile of leaves. The team encourage residents to continue to report as the more we know, the more we can do."
