Police have named the three children killed in the horrific knife attack in Southport. Merseyside Police said six-year-old Bebe King, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice Aguiar, aged nine, all lost their lives after being stabbed on Hart Street around 11.50pm on Monday, July 29.
In a moving statement, the family of Bebe King expressed their sorrow: "No words can describe the devastation that has hit our family as try to deal with the loss of our little girl Bebe." Meanwhile, the family of Alice Dasilva Aguiar said: "Keep smiling and dancing like you love to do our Princess, like we said before to you, you're always our princess and no one would change that. Love from Your Hero Daddy and Mummy.
He is suspected of murder and attempted murder, according to the police. A Merseyside Police spokesperson said a name has been incorrectly shared on social media. They urged: "We would urge people not to speculate on details of the incident while the investigation is ongoing." One note read: "To all the beautiful girls and families affected by this tragedy. We can't even comprehend the emotions and heartbreak you must be going through right now. You didn't deserve any of this. Our hearts break for you."
