A woman has died in hospital in Glasgow after a crash.
The incident occurred on the A70 near Rigside in Lanarkshire at around 12.30pm on Saturday, August 5.The woman, who was driving the Corsa, was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she died the following day, on Sunday, August 6.The 54-year-old male driver of the Polo was taken to Wishaw General Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Officers closed the road for around six hours to investigate what happened and they are now urging people who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch. Police Sergeant Gemma Blackadder for the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with Tamara's family and friends. “Our inquiries are continuing into the crash are continuing. I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible."I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious collision."
