A police officer traveled over 100 miles to see a comedian in Nottingham while on duty, prompting a misconduct hearing. The officer, PC Sharon Taylor, resigned before the hearing but was found guilty of gross misconduct.

A police officer travelled more than 100 miles across the country to watch a comedy show in Nottingham while on duty, a misconduct hearing was told. PC Sharon Taylor logged onto work for three minutes at Suffolk Constabulary's HQ in Ipswich before driving to the gig, the panel heard. Taylor, who it was said showed a 'lack of integrity', also attempted to claim payment for working anti-social hours as a way of making it look like she had worked. On February 18, Taylor also drove to a different social event, having travelled towards Norwich on the A140 when she should have been on duty, it was heard. Evidence showed she also failed to undertake any work on January 28, February 4 and February 17, having only briefly logged into her personal constabulary accoun
