Honk if you see ducks. An officer on patrol 7:50 a.m. June 8 encountered an adult duck sitting in the road on Tanglewood Trail. It would not move so the officer got out of the patrol car to investigate. He soon found that her ducklings had been swept into a storm drain and could not get out.

An officer on patrol 7:50 a.m. June 8 encountered an adult duck sitting in the road on Tanglewood Trail. It would not move so the officer got out of the patrol car to investigate. The officer found her ducklings had been swept into a storm drain and could not get out. The grate was too heavy for one person to lift. After calling for backup, the officers were able to lift the grate and rescue the waddling brood.

When officers arrived for that theft reported on June 15, an employee said another theft was discovered from 9 p.m. June 14 with two different women pushing out a shopping cart with unpaid merchandise through the front entrance. Items taken were from the infant and toddler’s section, boys and seasonal departments.

Later, at 4:20 p.m. on June 15 police were called back after three women left the store with three $150 portable air conditioners they did not purchase. They pushed the units out in shopping carts to a black Chevy SUV vehicle. If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
