Incidents of speeding and anti-social behaviour have been reported
A dispersal order has been put in place along the A57 at Worksop and the surrounding area after large car meets were reported. From Friday, August 2 until Sunday, August 4, the dispersal order will be in place to prevent vehicles from causing distress and alarm.
This comes after Nottinghamshire Police received reports of large car meets along the A57, as part of which there have been incidents of speeding and anti-social behaviour. Vehicles have also reportedly been used to cause annoyance, such as through revving and backfiring. Additional officers will be patrolling the area to enforce this order, and Section 59s will be issued where necessary and vehicles seized. In a post on Facebook, West Bassetlaw Police stated: "Dispersal Order in place along the A57 Worksop and surrounding areas.
"Following reports of large car meets along the A57 whereby ASB and speeding have been reported, a decision has been made to implement a Dispersal order from today and over the weekend. "In addition, officers will be patrolling and enforcing the dispersal order and issuing Section 59s where vehicles are being used causing alarm, distress or annoyance and will be seized."
