Officers were called to the A53 near Hodnet on Saturday morning following several reports of horse and trap racing on the highway, which was deemed dangerous for other road users. While a number of vehicles had already left the scene by the time police arrived, PC Twist from the Response shift Team D managed to intercept and seize one vehicle involved in the incident. This vehicle was found to be untaxed and has since been taken to a police depot, effectively removing it from the road.
The Market Drayton police force took to their Neighbourhood Matters page to share details about the incident.
