A man was arrested following the disturbance
Police swarmed an area outside a primary school following an incident on Wednesday afternoon as parents were picking up their children.
By the time officers arrived, the disturbance had ended, however a man in his 20s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of affray and taken into custody. Police confirmed the incident occurred on the street outside of the school. A spokesperson for the force said: "At around 3.20pm yesterday , we were called to reports of a disturbance on Vulcan Street in Oldham."A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody for questioning. This is believed to be an isolated incident and investigations are ongoing.
