Henley Homes has said kids from social housing will now be able to use the main playground at the Baylis Old School developmentA HOUSING firm which banned 'poorer' kids from a posh playground set aside for wealthier families today backed down after public outcry, The Sun can reveal.
But today, following outcry from locals, the firm made a dramatic U-turn and said "everyone is welcome". In the original plans submitted to Lambeth Council everyone had access to the common areas but this was later changed and a wall eventually put up stopping the kids from social housing using the main play area.
Daniella Rea, who lives in the social housing block with her three kids, told The Sun Online yesterday: "I asked before I moved in, 'Can I use the private garden?' and they said yes."
