The new Braehead branch looks like it's going to open on the upper level next to Subway, and said to be replacing KFC with signage stating 'openin soon' and 'hirin'.
The fast food restaurant, which opened a brand-new eatery on Sauchiehall Street in July, is coming to the Braehead shopping centre. It'll be the third local branch, joining the city centre and Barrhead restaurants.
It means foodies could have another spot to get their hands on the famous Louisiana Chicken Sandwich. The Braehead branch looks like it's going to open on the upper level next to Subway, and said to be replacing KFC with signage stating "openin soon" and "hirin".
Shopper Andrew is looking forward to the prospect of having another fast food restaurant at Braehead. He said: "It's a classic case of "winner, winner, chicken dinner" for Popeyes. It’s always fun to see a bit of friendly competition among fast food giants, and while KFC fans might be feeling a bit ruffled, I think Popeyes will drum up plenty of excitement with its Louisiana-style flavours."
Though an exact opening date remains under wraps at this stage, Popeyes is bound to be welcomed by hungry shoppers wanting to grab a well-deserved bite to eat.Sign up to our daily Glasgow Live newsletter here to receive news and features direct to your inbox
