Wetherspoon bosses had a rethink after someone living near the pub took issue
A popular J D Wetherspoon in Merseyside almost had a different name entirely before a complaint was lodged.
A beer garden now sits where the site's bowling green used to be, while the Conservative Club itself was relocated to the building's first floor.READ MORE: Restaurant introduces tap water charge for 'incredible' reason "The company uses an individual who researches the history, people of the area where the pub is located plus the history of the building itself. Wetherspoon is then offered a choice of names and the reasons for each one and chooses one."
