Prince Andrew's hopes of leaving Royal Lodge in Windsor to his two daughters have been dashed as the Duke of York is in 'no position' to bequeath the property, a Royal commentator has claimed
According to one royal commentator, Andrew is in "no position" to leave the property to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The Duke of York, 64, holds a lease with the Crown Estate that means he can live in the property until 2078.
It's understood that the father-of-two desired to preserve Royal Lodge as an inheritance home for his daughters, Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 34. However, the ex-working royal, who withdrew from public duties in 2019, is facing escalating pressure from his brother King Charles to downsize to a less costly home.
Gareth Russell, a royal commentator, told GB News it's becoming increasingly unlikely for Royal Lodge to remain a future inheritance home for the Princesses of York. He stated: "In theory, had everything gone the way Prince Andrew had hoped, there would have been possibly two inheritance homes for his daughters."
