They are calling on the Prince of Wales to demonstrate “climate leadership” at a time when the Government isKensington Palace declined to respond but Prince William earlier said he wanted to “go a step further” than his family and bring real change to the causes he supports.on Tuesday while delivering the King’s Speech.
The decision to allow new oil and gas drilling in the North Sea is the latest in a series of U-turns on the Government’s green policies, coming weeks after the Prime Minister delayed the ban of new petrol cars and gas boilers. Prince William has spoken out on the need for action to address the climate crisis. In 2020 he launched the Earthshot Prize, which is awarded each year to environmental innovators.
